eRA Commons

eRA Commons is NIH’s electronic system for grants administration and registration is required for any researcher who wants to submit a grant proposal to NIH.
You cannot submit a grant proposal to NIH until you have an eRA Commons’ username and password.

Registering with eRA Commons allows ORS to submit your application electronically and allows you to see the status of your grant and summary statements.

Request an eRA Username

Only Principal Investigators (PIs) or their delegates who are employees of UMKC can submit NIH grants through ORS. The PI does not need a Grants.gov username or password to submit a NIH grant.

An eRA Commons Username and Password is required for every PI to be able to create the proposal application package that will ultimately be submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by ORS through Grants.gov.
